Mason writes both front-end and back-end code to create tools and applications that help businesses and organizations achieve their goals. This includes bug testing and fixing, implementing designs from the design team, and maintaining the logic and data behind it all. There's always something to do at Volano.
Prior to starting at Volano Software, Mason built and maintained a multiplayer Unity application for a non-profit called PrairieSTEM. It is an application that gave students the ability to program a virtual robot and compete in various game modes from home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his off-time, Mason develops video games in his free time. He enjoys creating fun experiences and experimenting with mixing different genres. For example, one of the prototype games he created had a mix of roguelike and survival mechanics. And when he's not playing video games or developing them, you'll usually find him studying the Japanese language and culture, of which he is entering his 7th year of learning. Meet the team
